SEO is Permanent Pay Per Click is Temporary

by Craig White on April 29, 2010

SEO or search engine optimization is the new Holy Grail for network SEO is Permanent Pay Per Click is Temporarymarketers.  The FCC has put pressure on Google to eliminate all of the scams and get rich quick schemes from their platform.  This has made it difficult for the rest of the Network Marketing industry.  Here is what you might not be aware of.  Getting the “Google Slap” does not necessarily mean that you are outside the guidelines. You may simply be hosting your domain on the same server as someone else that is out side the guidelines and everyone on that server has been Google Slapped.  Check with your domain hosting service and make sure they are using class “C” servers to eliminate this problem.

Pay per click advertising was once thought of as the only way you could dominate the Google page.  Don’t get me wrong, pay per click is still a viable means of advertising but for those of you just starting out I urge you to learn as many forms of free organic advertising as you can. Learning SEO will actually give you more domination of the Google page and it is all free.

Studies have shown that while an individual is searching on the Internet the human eye is more often focused on a certain area of the Google page. Would you like to know where that area is?

It’s not on the top section of the page that is highlighted in soft yellow which is pay per click.

It’s not the side bar on the right hand side that is also pay per click.

Studies have shown that 85% of the time the human eye is focused on the organic search area of the page.  So why would you want to put 85% of your advertising budget in the area that is only viewed 15% of the time.  Would it make more sense to focus your advertising on the 85% of the page, which is free, and only use 15% of your budget on pay per click.

This is where SEO comes in to play.  Learning to focus your ads using keyword research and targeting specific keywords that don’t have an enormous amount of competition will bring more contacts to your page and also generate a higher conversion rate.
Look at this example:
Results 1 – 10 of about 1,390,000,000 for networkmarketing. (0.2 seconds
The amount of searches conducted for the keywords network marketing resulted in over 1 billion people. Can you imagine the amount of competition there is on those keywords.
Lets look at another example:
Results 1 – 10 of about 1,450,000 for Craig and Kim white. (0.36 seconds
I am using my name here, so don’t get any wise ideas about going after my name as a keyword. Just kidding, my purpose here is to show you by doing diligent keyword research you can target certain keywords that have far less competition and dominate that page of google and advertise to a much more specific market which will bring you a much higher conversion rate. Generally I will target any keyword that I am trying to market to that has less than 1,000,000 searches.
SEO is really not that difficult to understand. It’s actually quit simple. If you Google SEO tools you can find thousands of tools out there that will help you optimize your website or blog.  I suggest using Goggles tools found at the bottom of the page under business solutions. After all, Google is who you are optimizing for.  If you have a WordPress blog you can also download a SEO optimizer plug-in that will allow you to optimize every page or post on your site.
