Personal Branding
Personal Branding is one of the most important components to becoming a successful online marketer. People will only trust some one who can be identified or validated by research and verification. Think about what you do when you are researching a topic. What do you do? Most people Google a set of keywords and find what they think are the most relevant articles or post associated with the topic they are researching. If some one is doing research on a home based business opportunity they will research not only the company name but they will probably search the persons name that they are going going to be joining with. For example: If some one Google’s Craig and Kim White, you will see most of the first page of Google with topics related to us.
In Personal Branding there are 3 main goals that must be accomplished first.
- You must establish yourself as a authority and leader in your industry.
- You must dominate the first page of Google when some one searches your name.
- Create a Hub,blog or website, where all of the information about you can be found.
These 3 items will take some consistent effort and time. Most people are not natural leaders, but over time you can learn the key habits of highly effective people and become a leader in your industry. There are a few books that I would suggest to you that can help you gain insight into the key habits of leaders. The first 2 books I would suggest are “The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People” and “Living The 7 Habits The Courage to Change” both by Steven R. Covey.
Dominating the first page of Google is not as hard as it may sound but it will take some work. Learning how to effectively right articles with targeted key words or SEO (search engine optimization) is not that difficult. You can go to my friends Raymond and Ferny of SEO Networker for more information.
Building a Hub,blog or website is also very easy to do and you really don’t even need any formal computer training. There are several great sites you can go to such as Wordpress or Blogger to create your own hub. Your Hub is not used to pitch your business. Remember the 80/20 rule. 80% of the content is for information that is relevant to your industry and business. 20% for creating contact list and presenting your opportunity to prospects.
See you Soon,

Hi Craig,
Loved the article. Reminds me of the movie, “Build it and they will come.”
Thanks,

Alan,
I think you understand it perfectly. The whole idea is “build it and they will come.” But the one thing that you have to make certain, is to provide content in the format of what I call the 3 E’s.
Entertaining,Enlightening and Educational. I stole that from a friend of mine. I will check out your blog and reciprocate.
Thanks,
Craig
