Something came into my head this past Sunday while listening to the message our minister had prepared.
The message was about why people go to church, listen to the message, read their bible but they will not actually put into practice and take action on the principles of what they have learned.(including me)
As I sat and listened to the rest of the message my mind began to shift a bit and I remembered a line from one of my favorite movies.
Now I have come to the cross-roads in my life. I always knew what the right path was. Without exception, I knew, but I never took it. You know why? It was too damn hard.
That quote is Al Pacino as Lt. Col. Frank Slade speaking in defense of Charlie Simms at his meeting at the Baird School in “Scent of a Woman.”
Now some of you may say what the heck does this quote in “Scent of a Women” have to do with being a Christian.
It has nothing to do with being a Christian but it does have everything to do with why we don’t follow through with what we are taught or what we pretend too be.
It is too damn hard!
- It’s too damn hard to be persistent and strive to succeed.
- It’s too damn hard to sit down and write 1 article a day and produce 1 video day.
- It’s too damn hard to create a series of emails to send out to our list.
It’s easier to just quit!
We use all kinds of excuses like ” I told you this business is bogus!”. Your friends told you “You are crazy… that won’t work it’s a scam!”
“I have been at this for 6 months now and I’m still not getting leads.”
Do you think people like Mike Dillard and Jay Kubassek built their empires in 6 months?
I am sure that there were days when both Mike and Jay said to heck with this stuff. The difference is that they had the ability to pick themselves up off the ground dust off their shirts and keep going. They had drive and a reason to succeed. Their “Why” was big enough to drive them to success.
Is your “Why” big enough to drive you to success?
It is not enough just to say ” I need some extra money.” Why? Because this business is too damn hard!
Your “Why” has to be something deep inside you that burns and scorches your inner soul every time you have to do it or think about it.
Tired of living paycheck to paycheck?
Do you hate your J.O.B. so much you can’t get up in the morning?
You have bigger and better dreams but no way to get there in your current situation?
Find your “Why” and you will find the drive to succeed.
Have you found your “Why” but have no idea how to proceed? Are you willing to learn and invest in yourself and freely help others to get what they want?
If you are that person with passion and fire to succeed I will show you the way to change your life.
