One of the most important things I learned very early in Social Media marketing, is why I should set up list on Facebook. 
I mean think about this for a second. All your personal friends probably aren’t interested in what you are doing in your online business. So why should they see every message that gets posted from your blog about Internet Marketing?
I learned this myself the hard way. One of my long time High school friends commented on one of my Facebook post. It went something like this.
Why are you always working all the time. Can’t you just have some fun with us Craig?
Yea, it was a little embarrassing at the time but I quickly learned how to set up list on Facebook so my post would only go out to the people that were interested in what I was talking about.
There’s nothing worse than spamming everyone with with stuff they aren’t interested in. Especially your personal friends.
Setting up list on Facebook is really easy. So if you don’t wont to keep spamming all of your friends on Facebook here’s how to set up a list on Facebook.
- Log onto your account
- Click on the “Friends Tab” on the left side bar
- When you “Friends List” appears at the top right hand corner click on “Create Lists”
- A new window will open for you to name your new list
- Give your list a name
- Start adding people from you current list of Friends
It’s that simple!
Make the names of the Facebook list easy thing for you to remember like “Network Marketing Friends” or ” Musician Friends”
One more tip on this subject. If you have your blog automatically post to Facebook like I do with the ” Networked Blogs” application on Facebook, make sure that you go into the settings tab and select all the specific list you want your automatic post to go out to so you don’t spam everyone with your blog post.
