So we are back from Hot and Sunny Phoenix Arizona where it was 112 in the shade. We were on a trip to move our son Chad, to Phoenix to finish his college career. He has changed his major to Anthropology and Archiology. I guess if your gonna study rocks and bones what better place to be than Arizona.
It was sooo hot you could literally fry and egg on the side walk. And we did!
We are from the south, Atlanta, Ga. to be exact, and it gets pretty hot here. When it reaches 100+ degrees with 95% humidity it is actually more unbarable than Phoenix at 112.
You know the saying, it’s a dry heat!
Dry or not, it was damn hot at an average of 112.
We took the southern route on the way there, I-20 through the south into Texas and then I-10 through New Mexico and Arizona. We got some really great pics that we will posting here soon say stay tuned and check back regularly for updates.
If your ever in South West Texas you must stop in Sweetwater and have a tast of the best Texas BBQ you have ever had at “Bucks.” There ain’t much in Sweetwater but Bucks BBQ is worth the stop.
On the return trip, Kim and I took the Northern route for a change in scenary and tried to visit Santa Fe, New Mexico. Unfortunately, we were trapped behind a very bad accident on I-40 about 20 miles west of Alberquerqy for almost 2 1/2 hours. So we missed our trip to Santa Fe.
The next morning we got up bright and early, around 5:00 am and hit the road to make up for lost time. And boy did we. We drove all the way from Alberquerchy to Memphis in one day!
1100 miles in 13 hours!
The beer went down real easy that night. The next morning we left Memphis, the home of some great blues and went south through Mississippi and stopped at the birth place of the King himself, Elvis Presley. That was a pretty cool stop for me since I am such a music buff and a real blues lover. We have some really great pics of the extremely tiny house he was born in. I’m sure it’s in much better shape now then it was then. Its a great stop off in Tupelo for a short break to stretch your legs and see a truly historical site from one of the True American Music Legends.
So we are back home now and ready to get back to helping everyone build their Internet Empire. Our mailbox is loaded with questions and we will get them all answered ASAP. If you are one of the 627 people who sent us emails with questions on business building tips, please bare with us. We hope to get them all answered by the end of this week.
