Is your blog suffering from low comments on your post?
I had one of my followers ask me if I had any suggestions on how to increase his blog comments. He said he just didn’t understand why he couldn’t get anyone to leave a comment.
I took a look at the blog and and it seemed as if Jason was doing everything right. He had good original content, a nice flow to blog, and most of his post were structured in the correct manner to get a reader to leave a comment but he just wasn’t getting any.
I ask Jason to take a look at the way his discussion settings to make sure that everything was set correctly and what do you know?
I found his problem.
Take a look at the image below.
In the discussion tab on his dashboard he had one button checked(user must be registered to leave a comment) that made it mandatory for people that wanted to leave a comment to be a registered user. Unless this reader is a very loyal reader, chances are that they are not going to go through the hassle of becoming a registered user on your blog just to leave a comment.
After a couple of new blog post Jason started getting comments to almost every new post.
Check your discussion settings and make sure that you have it setup correct on your blog.
