The Top 5 Reasons to Start A Home Based Business

Here are my 5 Top reasons that I started a home based business. First, let me give you a little background on myself. I am a 27 year veteran of the Automotive Sales and Sales Training industry. 7 days a week 12 hours a day will start to grind on you after 27 years. When my children were young I was unable to spend very much time with them due to the demanding hours of the Automotive business. When ever there was any sporting event or school activity my wife Kim was the one that took them. I was lucky if I could meet them less than half the time. That’s not something I enjoy reflecting on now. I tried getting out of the Automotive business twice but with out any success. I was always lured back by the amount of income that I could generate in the Automotive business.

Now that the economy has crashed and the lucrative income of the Automotive business has crashed with it I finally found a way to free myself from the daily grind of the car business. Here are my Top 5 reasons I decided to take the leap of faith.

  1. Freedom- Working when I want, where I want and with who I want.
  2. Debt Relief- When I first started Internet Marketing I was able to supplement my income with the part-time income I was making with my Internet business. Soon it became my full-time income. 1 out of every 53 house holds filed bankruptcy last year. 60 to 70% of those house holds could have avoided bankruptcy with an extra $300 to $600 dollars per month.
  3. Retirement- 75% of Americans will not be able to retire at their current lifestyle. After you pay down your debt to where you can start to save money you will be able to make significant contributions to your retirement income.
  4. Leverage the Internet- By learning to Leverage the Internet you can actually make money while you sleep. The Internet never closes and your business will continue to make you money while you enjoy the freedom you have gained.
  5. Life Style- Enjoy the life style that a Home Based Business will earn you. The life style where you can go on vacation and still earn income while your away. The life style where you get to work with people that you enjoy working with instead being treated like a servant. The life style that rewards your hard earned efforts instead of working for the man.

You can’t afford not to look at the option of starting your own Home Based Business. With the reasons I outlined above just about everyone reading this article could benefit from any of my 5 reasons. Are you going to wait on the economy to recover or take that leap of faith that I did.

There is No Recession on The Internet!

Grow Your List With Hosted Web Forms

First…What is a hosted Web Form?

Its kind of like taking a snap shot and posting it on a server that is visible to everyone. All you have to do is design your form, click save, and its hosted on a server like Aweber.com

Take a look at this video to see how its done:

How would you use a hosted web form?

3 things come to mind immediately

1. Email

You can use email to build your email list.

Simply ask your current subscribers to forward their emails to their friends and family with a easy way for them to sign up themselves.
Grow Your List With Hosted Web Forms

2.Twitter

Twitters use of 140 characters is a blessing and a curse at the same time. Meanwhile email lets you stretch your legs a bit more.

You can design a web form specifically for your Twitter followers and give them a reason to join your email lists. Run your link through
a link shortener to give you room to give a compelling reason for them to join your newsletter.

3.Word Press hosted blogs ( or anywhere else you can’t post form HTML)

Grow Your List With Hosted Web Forms
You can’t publish a form on a Word Press hosted website but you can publish a link. Simply put a link in the article or any page
of your Word Press blog and link it to hosted web form hosted by Aweber.

Design Tips for your Hosted Web Forms

Its really easy to make hundreds of forms and post them just about anywhere on the web. Remember to design your form for the audience you
are targeting. Tell the your Twitter what the benefits are of joining your newsletter too.
Remember that you are sending these people to a form that stands alone by itself. Not somewhere in a web page where there is a lot of other
clutter to distract them. Just a standard web form with name and email probably won’t do. Spice it up make it attractive and exciting. One of
the key benefits of the hosted web form is that you don’t have the usual restrictions such as size. So stretch your form a little wider and use some
compelling copy.
Remember it’s just the form and a white background. Get creative and let your artistic juices flow and give the reader something exciting to view!

How a blog broadcast can go viral

This is a very short post but I have just discovered this little bit of information that I thought would be very helpful to anyone using a auto responder such as Aweber.

I was checking on my placement in the search results for a few keywords and I found something very interesting. I found a link to all of my blog broadcast that I have sent through Aweber to my list of customers all on one page. Below is a screen shot of the webpage I found under the generic search results on Google.

6 Ways to Add Life to Your Old Blog Post

Old Blog Post

Dust off those old Blog post's

Remember that old blog post you wrote back in early 2008. You thought everyone in the blogosphere was going to read it and it would go viral any day. Hundreds of twitter followers would re-tweet it and everyone on face-book would comment on it. Or maybe you weren’t twittering yet and your friends on face-book were just to busy with Farm-ville to pay attention. The only one that actually read it was you.

What if some of those old blog post are just as relevant today?

How can you republish these post? Here are a few ways to give those old post some new life.

1. Update the post. Just like a new edition of a printed book, you can add a new “forward” to your post, explaining how it’s either more or less relevant given what has transpired since it was written. Repackage it and republish. If it’s put into the context of today, it’s as fresh as can be.
2. Reference the post. A link back to that post from a new one is a great way to give it new legs. It also increases the chances of someone stumbling upon it in the future.
3. Comment. Sometimes a new comment will spark new conversation. As I keep tabs on this blog, it amazes me how some posts get hot weeks after publishing. At the very least, if you have a “recent comments” widget, the post will gain some additional visibility.
4. Check the tags. Perhaps your content tagging strategy has changed over the months and years. Make sure your post has up-to-date tags and is categorized correctly. You can even look to your search logs and see if there are terms that you didn’t think of that could be a good fit.
5. Add plug-ins. There are a variety of Word Press and Type Pad plug-ins that will help link your content. Related posts will give much of your old content new visibility and embedded tags can also help in this department.
6. Blog Broadcast. Maybe your list of subscribers has grown and most of the new subscribers had no chance to see those old post. If you use an auto responder like Aweber you can create a Blog Broadcast of those old post and distribute them directly to their in-box.

Network Marketing How to Market You Inc.

you inc.

If you are a seasoned Network Marketer or just beginning to build your own online business there are 3 things that everyone will agree on is the most important aspect of marketing on the Internet.

  • Building your list!
  • Your relationship with your list
  • Monetizing your list

Network Marketers need to understand this one concept. If you are a distributor for an online business or affiliate program you are just another drone in the work force and you actually don’t own anything even though you call it:

“Your online Business”

Your company could go out of business at anytime, cancel your membership for some marketing violation or prohibit you from marketing the company name at all in your advertising campaigns.

What do you actually have then? …..Nothing!

Your list is everything and the only thing that you actually own. But developing a list doesn’t mean anything if you don’t know how to build value to that list and develop a trusting relationship with the people on that list.

People only buy from people they trust and like!

“Give without want before you can get” Mike Dillard

Building value and increasing your worth to society is how you market “YOU INC.

Giving your customers something of value that will help them increase and grow their business not wanting anything in return is  the ultimate goal and is how you increase your value to the Network Marketing Industry and your customers.

So that is exactly what I am going to do!

If there is any question about the value of what I am about to give you let me enlighten you!

What I am about to give you is the blueprint to the exact business model that completely changed the Network Marketing industry in 2006.

This is the same business plan that I and several other industry leaders have used to build our businesses and gain personal and financial freedom. So simply stated:

It Works!

So if your ready to learn the secret of the Traffic Formula that changed the industry in 2006 and would have cost you $997 dollars three years ago fill in the form below and give me your best email address and I will send you the link to this 36 minute online DVD that changed the industry and can change your future!

Network Marketing Part Time?

Network Marketing Part Time?

It’s no secret that most home based business owners hold a full time job. That’s OK! The task of developing a business from the ground up and holding down a full time job will actually make you better at time management.

You will learn the Real Value of Time!

We all know that we only get 24 hours in day and that’s it. We have to find ways to squezze every bit of juice out of the lemon on a daily basis. Below is an example of my work schedule when I first started in Network Marketing part time:

Monday:

Arrive home around 7:00 p.m.

Visit with wife and kids until 8:30

Get a cold one and close the office doors, turn off cell phone and get to work

Start by writing down the goals you want to accomplish that evening

9:00 pm-Listen to back office training calls by top producers

10:00 pm write at least one article and publish to EzineArticles.com (I personally believe this site has the most credibility)

10:30 pm post on blog and link to social media sites such as twitter and facebook

11:00 pm place as many free classified ads as possible on sites such as Craig’s list and InetGiant

12:00 am Do some keyword research for the next set of articles and ads for the next day

1:00 am Check emails and back office for leads to call the next day. Lights out and get ready to do it all over again the next day

Once you have your goals outlined get to work and stick to your schedule as best you can. Make sure that you complete your task on a timely basis. One of the things that will slow you down is spending to much time checking emails every 5 minutes.

Do not do this! Continuously checking emails is an absolute Time Bandit procedure!

If you are getting leads late at night they can wait until morning for a follow up.

I’m not going to outline my entire work week here but the above example gives you a good idea on how you can squeeze 3 to 4 hours a day out of your schedule.

Here is a list of the 3 biggest Time Bandit Activities to Avoid:

  • “Checking emails every 5 minutes”…I’ll mention this again since it seems to be the #1 Time Bandit
  • Watching CNN …The “Doom and Gloom” channel or any other worthless news channel
  • Playing X-Box games… A lot of fun but an absolute Time Bandit

3 more time saving Tips…

  • Turn off your cell phone…you don’t need to be accessible 24/7
  • Lock the office door…as the old saying goes “come to work to work”
  • Set time limits on each task…when you do this you will be amazed at how fast you accomplish your task

The list could go on and on but you get the message….

I would love to hear about your time saving comments and tips!

Please leave a comment below so our fellow readers can get a few more tips!

See ya soon,
